The funny story of two friends is just like a Tax VAT story
The two rich men were going for a walk together in a secluded place far away from the city to enjoy the natural beauty. In the middle, the 1st person unknowingly offered to insult the 2nd person unnecessarily: if he could eat the rotten dung lying on the side of the road, he would give him 100 million taka.
The 2nd person calculated a lot and thought that if he accepted the offer of the 1st person to get 100 million taka, he would get a lot of profit and he would be able to earn huge amount of money while traveling. After thinking a lot about the 2nd person, he agreed to the proposal of the 1st person and ate the dung.
After eating the dung, the 2nd person got upset. How could I eat such a bad food in the greed of money? Seeing this 1st person, his mind also started getting upset. After a while, both of them are upset. One gave 100 million for trivial reasons; another played this thing for greed of 100 million even though he had a lot of money.
In order for both of them to have the same result, the 2nd person then proposed to the 1st person, brother, you also eat some dung, I will give you 100 million taka. 1st person playing the same thing in the hope of paying money. That is, think and act, do not think.
After a while, both of them are upset. None of them had any income or expenditure; they both ate rotten dung in the middle. They sat with their faces blackened with grief. Later one started blaming the other. Someone said that this situation has happened because you offered to eat dung. Another said that this would not have happened if you had not eaten dung. At one stage, the two started fighting. Seeing their fight, a pedestrian reported to the police. The police came and took them away. He was taken to court for trial. After hearing all the incidents of the two, the judge said:
1) Since they are both spending Tk. 100 million, both of them have to pay 15% VAT on this expenditure.
2) Again, since both of them are earning Tk. 100 million, both of them have to pay 20% income tax on this income.
In the end, it is said that greed is never good for anyone. Avoid greed, then you will be happy, you will be good.
