Taka Museum is a special museum of the glorious history of coins and coins of Bangladesh. Its main purpose and aim is to highlight the history, exchange system and culture of this country's currency from ancient times to modern times with different currencies of different countries of the world. Taka Museum is located at the Bangladesh Bank Training Academy, Mirpur-2, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Money has been stored in the museum from time immemorial to ancient Bengal and continuously up to modern times. Arrangements have been made to preserve and use and display notes of coins and paper which have been changed from time to time. Here is how people used to buy and sell goods in ancient times. It is operated under the active control of the Central Bank of Bangladesh i.e. Bangladesh Bank for public display.





History of Taka Museum:

Money museum was established in 2009 as a currency museum in Motijheel, the main building of Bangladesh Bank.







Taka Museum Visiting Hours:

Hours 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Saturday to Wednesday)
4:00 PM to 7:00 PM (Friday)
Museum Closed: Thursday and all governmental holidays.


Taka Museum Entry fee: Free of cost.
